Alfred Academy

Amaroo Toddlers is a fun, bright, bubby, and energetic atmosphere where children’s voices are respected and heard. Intentional teaching takes place through play based and planned activities with a focus on love of learning. Each child’s individuality is respected, we celebrate the children’s achievements and encourage the children to challenge themselves.  The Amaroo Toddler room is committed to following the cues of these capable toddlers to support them in the exploration of their world. In this room we support a love of books, and provide ample sensory experiences for curious minds and hands. This stage of development is a time where communication has a developmental shift so we support communication through modeling and scaffolding conversations with others in a positive and encouraging manner.  We foster a strong sense of belonging, valuing and encouraging family input. We believe a flexible routine offers a degree of predictability that helps these children feel safe and secure, while still being able to celebrate the spontaneous joys of this wonderful age group.
